Pittwater Kayak Tours operating on the Northern Beaches of Sydney is definitely on the list of things to do no matter what age you are. I took the second half of my class out for a paddle across beautiful Pittwater and then a bush walk through Ku Ring Gai Chase National Park up to West Head where the class enjoyed their fresh fruit, muesli cookies and bottles of water while looking out at the amazing views over Palm Beach, Barrenjoey Headland, Broken Bay and Lion Island.
Birthday Parties
Pittwater Kayak Tours is now catering for Birthday Parties with a difference. Get your child outdoors with a bunch of friends for a healthy and active birthday party that they’re sure to remember. A standard party will include kayaking, bush walking, games on the beach and in the water, swimming and a light snack. Lolly bags can also be provided.
Parties can be tailored to suit individual needs. Some parental supervison is required which will depend on group numbers and children’s ages. All safety equipment is supplied and meets all industry and Australian standards.
I have over 12 years experience working with children and I’m a qualified PE and Primary School teacher.
A School Excursion
Monday to Friday I’m a school teacher so I rewarded my class by taking them out for a paddle with Pittwater Kayak Tours. I took half the class out yesterday with their parents and we were blessed with an absolute postcard of a day. The sun was shining, there was just a puff of wind and it was really nice to share this experience outside of the school grounds.
The kids were all little legends and smashed the paddle and the bush walk.
The other half of the class come out tomorrow, although I don’t think the weather is looking quite as nice.
A Fishing Frenzy!!
A mate and I went out fishing in the kayaks on Pittwater the other day. We were a bit unlucky, we both got bitten off a couple of times by some decent size fish. The only one we managed to get in the kayak was a little Tailor that my mate caught. We still had an amazing day though, despite the lack of fish. We hiked up to some phenomenal views, checked out the “Red Hands” Aboriginal cave, saw some amazing wildlife including a pair of Sea Eagles hunting above us and a big Goanna scaling a tree.
Great seeing you champion!
A girls’ day out.
This lovely bunch of girls made their way from the foot of the Blue Mountains to Palm Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches for a bit of a sea change. We had a really nice afternoon on the water and great walk up to West Head. The girls were then headed to the Newport Arms Hotel for a well earned glass of wine.
Good stuff girls!
Power Paddlers, Russell and Gigi
Russell and Gigi came for a paddle on a bit of an overcast day, but we all still managed to have a great time. Gigi was only pint sized, but jeez she packed a punch. She set the pace for the paddle and after paddling over to Resolute Bay and hiking up to West Head, we then paddled to Barrenjoey Headland and then back to Snapperman’s beach making it a 6km paddle, plus 2.5km walk. Well done!!
Playing amongst the Rock Pools.
Tamara and Paul came for a paddle with Pittwater Kayak Tours and spent a romantic afternoon kayaking, bush walking and exploring the rock pools (or at least Tamara did). They were on a work trip from Melbourne and were able to come and experience the natural beauty of Pittwater on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
