We had a mixed group on this paddle with people from all over the world. It was a typical Winter’s day with blue skies and little wind. We paddled across Pittwater and took the shorter bush walk from Resolute Bay up to the top of 3rd Head. We checked out the Aboriginal Cave on the way up, with hand prints are believed to be up to 2000 years old. Everyone had a great time and got along well together.
A paddle and a hike with my Beautiful Girlfriend and some Mates
I took my beautiful girlfriend Sasha, a mate I’ve known since school, Brendo and his lovely English wife Ruth, for a day out on Pittwater. We paddled across to Great Mackerel Beach and worked our way up to a breath taking view where we enjoyed a picnic looking out over Pittwater, Barrenjoey and Palm Beach.
We then hiked further into Ku Ring Gai Chase National Park to look at the Aboriginal Engravings which are some of the best I’ve seen!!
On the paddle back we were treated to a thrilling up close start of a yacht race.
A truly remarkable way to spend time with loved ones.
Manuela likes the Sunrise
Manuela is a Northern Beaches local who was looking for something a bit different. She came along for 2 Sunrise Tours, she liked the first one so much. We were really luck and saw loads of local wildlife including fairy penguins and swamp wallabies. On our first tour we hiked up to 3rd Head and admired the Aboriginal Cave and the views. For the 2nd tour we landed at Great Mackerel Beach and hiked up to some amazing views over Pittwater, Barrenjoey and Palm Beach. We then pushed further inland to have a look at the Aboriginal engravings. Manuela is a keen photographer and took some great photos.
