It was one of the coldest mornings this winter when I met Malini and Adam at 6am for a sunrise paddle. There was a howling wind and it was 6 degrees. These two were still keen, so we set off and despite the cold weather we still had a great time. A nice hot coffee at the end of the paddle has never tasted so good.
Corporate Sunrise Paddle
The team from Verve Portraits, Rushcutters Bay had their team bonding session and stayed at Palm Beach. They got up early for the sunrise session and we made our way over to Resolute Bay. It was a cold winter’s morning and was pretty chilly when we first set out. After a few minutes of paddling every one warmed up. The bush walk up to 3rd head was glorious with the sun rising over Palm Beach. The whole team thought the experience was “amazing and awesome” and were still talking about it a month later.
If you need some family portraits done, go and see the team from Verve Portraits, Rushcutters Bay.
A Year of Adventure
This was an absolute postcard of a day and we had a few different groups who combined and we enjoyed a really fun day together. There were a couple of girls who had decided to embark on a year of adventure and were doing all sorts of exciting things like skydiving, going on road trips, bungee jumping and going for a paddle with Pittwater Kayak Tours was one on the bucket list.
My flat mate Hannah came along and loved it. A few well earned beers in the sun at the Collaroy Hotel afterwards went down very well.
Friends make the trip down from Maitland.
This group of friends made the trip down from Maitland to enjoy a paddle together on Pittwater. After the paddle they went and enjoyed a meal and a drink at the Newport Arms Hotel. What a great way to spend the day. Make a day of it when you come for a paddle with Pittwater Kayak Tours. There is so much to see on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Check out some of the amazing uncrowded beaches, hike up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse, check out the view from the Serpentine, have a meal at any of the amazing cafes and restaurants scattered along the peninsular.
Beautiful Winter’s Day
Cliff Hanger
Pittwater, is truly one of Sydney’s absolute gems in terms of natural beauty all year round. In Summer it turns a beautiful turquoise blue. In Winter it ranges from dark to light green. It has so many little secluded beaches that are clean, calm and have no crowds. It is surrounded on the West by Ku Ring Gai Chase National Park, with steep rocky cliffs and Australian Gum Trees.
We spent a magical day paddling on Pittwater in the middle of Winter and then a couple of the clients did a bit of rock climbing off one of the ledges.
A fun day out.
Somewhere Over a Rainbow
These 2 friends and a couple from America drove up the peninsular to Palm Beach thinking it would be a rainy kayak and bush walk (it does add a beautiful mystique to the area in these conditions). As we unpacked the kayaks and got into our PFD’s we were greeted with a beautiful double rainbow. It ended up being a lovely tour and both waterfalls were also running lightly after the rain.
Girls’ Day Out
These three girls organised to have a catch up and spend some quality time together in a beautiful part of the world. They enjoyed the exercise and full body workout, upper body while paddling and lower body during the bush walk. Afterwards they went and enjoyed lunch together at one of the numerous restaurants on the Northern Beaches.
Family Enjoys a Sunrise Paddle and Shake Hands with a Wallaby
This lovely family came for a sunrise paddle and were lucky enough to have a wallaby come right up and say hello no more than 10 feet away. It was a great way to start the day. The young girl had an assignment due on the history of Pittwater, so some of the information she learnt along the way she found useful.
